Other Qualities: Lilac keeps quiet and isn't really comfortable around other people. She has distinct fear of being judged, due to how she grew up. She doesn't understand jokes or sarcasm and takes things quite literally. She has a desire to be rebellious, but not the courage. She spent her whole life following orders and being inferior and is too frightened to change that pattern. She's not the most sane person, but most people wouldn't know it since she doesn't express herself. If she gets caught up in a battle or is around large amounts of blood, her insanity starts to show. Her hidden insanity is mostly because of her harsh past and the things she witnessed at a young age, but also she gets it from her mother who wasn't the most healthy person in the world either.) The people who can contain her sanity are her meister(Kristell) and her father(Princton).


Story-
Lilac's mother, Melody the Witch, always envied those with power. Melody's mother and father would do anything to get Melody to be royalty. Therefore, Melody's mother married Lord Death's father before he was crowned the Lord of Death in hope that Melody would be the one crowned instead. That clearly didn't work. Instead, Melody married the Lord of Goth, Princton Gothate. This crowned her the Queen of Goth, but she still hated Lord Death out of jealousy.

In Melody's family, a special artifact has been passed down though every generation. It's an enchanted crystal in the shape of a teardrop. This crystal would reflect the soul. However, when Melody wore it, it became black as pitch without a single twinkle. This was because Melody was very evil and her life revloved around her hatred for Lord Death. This crystal, when worn by someone with a soul of pure evil, is capable of cursing that wearer. However, when it cursed Melody, it also cursed her daughter, Lilac, who she was pregnant with at the time. The curse was for Melody's next child to be the direct reflection of the child of the person who she hates more than anyone else- Lord Death.

This is why Lilac was born with black hair with three white stripes, just like Death the Kid, but on the opposite side of her head. Because of these stripes, Melody hated Lilac, her second daughter. Lilac was constantly beaten by her mother for the silliest things, such as coming home late, forgetting her chores, and going out in town without covering her stripes beneath a hood or hat.

Melody was a witch known for her use of hypnotism. She used a special magic called "Persuasia" to get the weak-minded to follow her every command. She used it to force Lilac into doing horrible things, such as thieving and killing.

They lived in Lilac's mother's castle in Prague, and surrounding the castle was a small gothic town in the middle of a canal of red water (the citizens reffer to it as the Blood River). In the town, the citizens are made up of many different creatures, such as witches, werewolves, giants, demons, vampires, ghosts, -you name it. The people of Prague also had a hatred for the Lord of Death due to the brainwashing and hypnotism from The witch Melody, their queen. Everytime they saw Lilac, they mocked her, threw stones, and cursed at her. It wasn't long before they nicknamed Lilac "Cursed Wretch."

Lilac did meet 2 people who called her by her real name rather than the one most people did. Those people were Lilac's father, Princton, and Lilac's only friend, Kristell the Vampire. They didn't care if she was the cursed Princess of Goth. They ignored her stripes and saw what a beautiful person she truly was.

Once Melody realized that her husband had been treating Lilac respectfully, Melody quickly had him hung in "the Well of Traitors." The Well of Traitors isn't a normal well that you get fresh water from. Instead of a pail for fetching water, there was a looped rope. Once the traitor is hung and dead over the well, Melody cuts the rope so the corpse falls down to the bottom with all the other decaying "traitors."

After the death of her loving father, Lilac fell into a deeper depression than she had already been in. She decided one night, at age 10, after staring into the mirror at her reflection for long hours, that she was going to hang herself off of the tallest tower in the castle. She'd tied the rope and placed it around her neck. She then let herself fall out of the balcony of the tower with the rope tied tightly around her neck and suspended by the bars of the balcony. She felt her self falling into unconsiousness when her mother showed up at the balcony and noticed Lilac hanging herself. Instead of doing what the normal mother would do and try to rescue her, Melody cut the rope. Lilac fell hundreds of feet down from the tower. She didn't die from the landing, she landed on the roof of a crypt and rolled down it into the Blood River. Barely consious, Lilac tried to inhale the red water into her lungs, but found she couldn't. Her mother's Persuasia was forcing her to swim to the surface. Once Lilac was back up on land, Melody violently dragged her into the castle and beat her with her fists, then took Lilac out in the town square and had her whipped, then sentenced her to be hung in the Well of Traitors (The whole point of this is that Lilac didn't want to die on her mother's account, she would rather die on her own. And Melody felt the opposite. She wanted Lilac to feel as though she has no control over her life, and no choice of when she dies and how. Which is why Melody cut the rope, hoping Lilac would die from the impact of the fall. AND why she didn't let Lilac drown herself in the Blood River, but instead would kill her in the well.). They hung Lilac over the well which smelled strongly of rotting dead bodies. Lilac was so determined not to die murdered by her own mother, so she held her breath long enough to pass out. When her mother thought she was dead, she cut the rope and Lilac fell into the well and finally started breathing again. It didn't take her long to find her father's corpse laying in the pile of decaying bodies and bare skeletons. Lilac didn't dare to cry, for if she had her mother would realise she was still alive.

Hours later, once the crowd of people from the town had all left, Lilac's best friend and weapon meister, Kristell, was so devistated by believing she witnessed the death of Lilac, that she ran over to the well and cried. She kept yelling down to Lilac hoping for an answer. Lilac didn't answer to the first 3 or so cries, she was too busy staring into the open eyes of her dead father. Once she finally answered, Kristell lowered the rope from the well down to Lilac to help her climb out.

Her mother had been spying on them the entire time. Furious at failing to kill Lilac, Melody ordered her to kill Kristell. Naturally, Lilac refused, but then she felt the hypnotism of persuasia. Unconsiously, she began walking towards Kristell with a blade extracted from her wrist. But then, Lilac stopped walking. She was gaining her mental control over her body despite the dark magic being drilled into her soul. Melody was shocked by this. No matter how hard the tried to hypnotize Lilac to move toward Kristell, she stood still, like a statue. Melody then approached Lilac and gave her a shove in the back. Lilac then lifted the blade as if to stab Kristell. Melody yelled in Lilac's ear, "KILL HER! KILL!" and Lilac murderously replied, "Yes mother..." and with her mother standing right behind her, Lilac swung the blade down and stabbed her mtoher in the stomach. Lilac had never felt this power before. She couldn't control her emotions at this one moment in time. She was being overwhelmed by madness. She kept slashing and slashing at her mother until only her evil soul was left.

The enchanted gem relic was all that was left of her mother's remains. Lilac placed it on herself as a trophy for eliminating her mother. The moment the crystal rested over her heart, it changed from the usual lifeless black rock into a beautiful glowing blue crystal that twinkled in the moonlight; The reflection of Lilac's soul.

Kristell knew if Lilac were to stay in Prague, the town would probably try to kill her for murdering their queen. Lilac said her last fairwells to Kristell and left the town, in search of the one who's reflection she was born from, Death the Kid.

She left the town on a small ferry driven by a kind-hearted ghost. Upon leaving the town, she looked back for one last glance and thought to herself, "I'm the rightful Queen of Goth..."
